Scooter Just Revealed He ‘Regrets’ How He Bought Taylor’s Masters—He Learned a ‘Great Lesson’

Lots of time thinking. Scooter Braun speaks out about how he handled Taylor Swift’s masters. In a conversation with NPR’s The Limits with Jay Williams, the entrepreneur reveals how he regrets how things went down between him and the Midnights artist.

Scooter explained the list of events that occurred when that made him learn his “lesson.” When host Jay Williams asked if he wanted things with Taylor to be handled differently, Scotter said, “when I did that deal that you’re referring to with Big Machine, I was under a very strict NDA with the gentleman who owned it, and I couldn’t tell any artist. I wasn’t allowed to. I wasn’t legally allowed to. What I told him was, hey, if any of the artists want to come back and buy into this, you have to let me know. And he shared a letter with me that’s out there publicly that – you know, the artist you’re referring to said, I don’t want to participate in my masters.”

He continued, “When we finalized the deal, I started making phone calls to say, hey, I’m a part of this. And before I could even do that – I made four phone calls; I started to do those phone calls – all hell broke loose. So I think a lot of things got lost in translation. I think that when you have a conflict with someone, it’s very hard to resolve it if you’re not willing to have a conversation. The regret I have there is that I made the assumption that everyone, once the deal was done, was going to have a conversation with me, see my intent, see my character and say, ‘Great, let’s be in business together. I made that assumption with people that I didn’t know.” He closes the topic out with, “I choose to look at it as a learning lesson, a growing lesson, and I wish everyone involved well. And I’m rooting for everyone to win because I don’t believe in rooting for people to lose.”

Scooter acquired Taylor’s masters in 2019 and sold it for $300 million to a private equity company in 2020. The masters were acquired when Scooter bought Taylor’s former label, Big Machine records. The acquisition does not allow Taylor the creative freedom of owning her own songs. Taylor re-released her previous albums Fearless (released in 2008) and Red (released in 2012), with Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), both released in 2021.

Taylor revealed in a Tumblr post on June 23, 2019, about Scooter’s participation in the masters. “When I left my masters in Scott’s hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually, he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter,” Taylor wrote at the time. “Any time [Big Machine Records’] Scott Borchetta has heard the words ‘Scooter Braun’ escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever.”

No time together. Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s scandal was the final straw between the two. Sources close to the Good American founder and the NBA basketball player say that things are still tense after he fathered another woman’s child.

A source told E! News that the two are not talking to each other at all, but have one exception. “They are currently not on speaking terms,” the insider shared, however, they do speak when they are “coordinating for the kids.” Another source told Hollywood Life that Khloé is absolutely done with Tristan and his antics. Khloé “can’t imagine ever getting back together” with Tristan, according to the source. They continue, “Far too much has happened over the years and the trust is gone. The last thing she needs in her life again is more Tristan drama. That ship has sailed for her, and she’s glad they can be cordial and co-parent together.”

“Going through what I went through was Tristan was incredibly hard,” Khloé acknowledged in a confessional on an episode of  The Kardashians where they reveal that they were secretly engaged. “The hardest part about it all is training yourself to un-love someone. This was my life for six years. And we weren’t just a couple, we genuinely were best friends. He was my workout buddy, we did all these things together. And so learning how to undo all those things, that takes time. Just because someone does you dirty doesn’t mean you fall out of love with them instantly.”

Khloé and Tristan’s surrogate gave birth to a baby boy on August 5, 2022, according to her reps to Page Six. Khloé’s reps confirmed that the two would have a second child together to Page Six on July 13, 2022. The statement read,“ We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.” Khloé and Tristan have one daughter, True, 4. The surrogacy was planned before news broke that Tristan cheated. A source told Page Six that, “Khloé and Tristan already had the baby in the works when the scandal hit. By then, Khloé was just like, ‘I’m going to be doing it by myself.’”

In 2021, former personal trainer Maralee Nichols filed a paternity suit against Tristan, alleging that the pair conceived a child together after having an affair earlier that year. Tristan, for his part, vehemently denied these claims until a January 2022 paternity test confirmed that he did, in fact, father the child, who was born in December 2021. Maralee has since filed additional court documents against the NBA player, which include alleged direct messages from Tristan claiming he was engaged to Khloé at the time of the affair. While Tristan’s legal team claims that the messages are fake, Maralee’s lawyer argues that his denial only proves his “refusal” to support their child.

Brooklyn & Nicola Just Reunited With Victoria At Her Paris Fashion Show After David ‘Harshly’ Confronted Him

Cute family bonding! Brooklyn Beckham gave his mother Victoria Beckham all the love for her fashion show. The Beckhams made a stellar appearance at the Spice Girl’s show at Paris Fashion Show on September 30, 2022.

After her fashion show, the fashion designer went out on the runway as her family sat in the front row. According to Hello Magazine, as she walked by, her son Brooklyn blew her a kiss. She also hugged her soccer star husband David Beckham and her close friend Eva Longoria. Brooklyn’s wife was also in attendance and it was the first time that Victoria and Nicola have been pictured at the same event after the emergence of the dress drama.

In early August 2022, a Page Six insider revealed that Nicola and her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham have a strained relationship. “They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” the source said. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.” Nicola married Victoria and David Beckham’s son Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022 after three years of dating. The source continued that Nicola didn’t want Victoria “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.” The source also said that Brooklyn’s parents aren’t even talking to their own son. “They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months,” the insider said. The source also claimed that Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents only became worse after he posted a cover of Nicola on Tatler magazine, which featured the headline: “The New Mrs. Beckham.”

According to a source to Daily Mail, David reportedly “read the riot act” to his son in regards to the dress drama and how the couple handled it. “I don’t think David has ever lost his temper with Brooklyn or had cause to talk to him harshly, but that has now finally happened. He had it out with him and told him: ‘We don’t do this in our family – and you know that we don’t do this in our family.” David reportedly told his son, “What happens next is up to you, but we are done with the drama.” The source continued, “David was really appalled by the Grazia interview because it seemed to be washing the family dirty linen in public – and he said that [Brooklyn’s brothers] Romeo and Cruz are also hurt by it. It was probably a shock as he’s never done anything other than tell Brooklyn how much he adores him.”

In the Grazia interview, Nicola cleared the air on what actually happened about the alleged dress drama. “Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress, and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created. I thought that was so beautiful and such a beautiful story.” She continued, “Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it. So, I spoke to my mom and Leslie, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’ I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.” She revealed how she felt about the  “When I read things that say [things like] I was never planning on wearing a [Victoria Beckham] dress or things like that, it does hurt my feelings. I try not to let it, but it’s just not the truth. It’s just a bit of a bummer when you’re like, ‘Oh, people think that,’ but it’s just not true.”
