Dua Lipa’s Birthday OOTD Featured A Lacy Bra & Bedazzled Blazer

I have a confession to make: I am nothing if not a Dua Lipa style superfan. The singer has been putting out a bunch of fire looks over the course of the last year and I am obsessed with all of them. From the ones she’s posted to her Instagram page to her incredible red carpet style, Lipa has certifiably cemented herself as one of this year’s most in-demand fashion girls. And her birthday OOTD is just further proof!

One thing to know about Lipa’s style is that she’s super into anything that has a retro-inspired feel. I mean, who can forget about her multiple ‘70s-inspired looks at the GRAMMY Awards earlier this year? Or, what about the sparkly pink tennis skirt she wore on Instagram a few months ago that was so clearly influenced by preppy style from the ‘90s? Lipa and her longtime stylist, Lorenzo Posocco clearly have a thing for vintage fashion and I am here for it! I love a girl who knows what she likes.

Like any style star, Lipa sticks to a few key colors and wears them in a near-constant rotation. She seems to love anything that comes in shades like baby pink, vibrant orange or lime green. Sparkling details and shimmering fabrics are also seemingly staples in her wardrobe, whether it’s in the form of a dress inspired by a dazzling disco ball or a bedazzled accessory to spice up to an otherwise simple ‘fit.

One of her best sparkly looks to date? Her birthday suit, natch! Lipa gave the term an entirely new meaning over the weekend when she wore a bedazzled navy blue suit over a floral sheer lace bra to celebrate the big two-six while on a tropical vacation with her flock of very fashionable friends. While Lipa normally opts for a super femme-feeling mini skirt or dress, this menswear-inspired take was a refreshing twist for the star.

Lipa accessorized her blingy outfit with a bunch of equally statement-making accessories, in true Leo fashion. These included a multicolored furry hat, a bunch of beaded charm necklaces and bracelets and a black belt that came with a massive gold heart-shaped buckle. I’m living for the levels of extra!!!

Lipa is, if anything, the queen of over-accessorizing in the very best way. More is more in her book, so of course she pulled out all the sartorial stops on her big day.

And luckily, Lipa doesn’t just post her best outfits to the ‘Gram—she’s also been known to rock a bold look on the red carpet, too! From bedazzled gowns to two-piece skirt sets, it’s safe to say that Lipa’s looks always land on my personal best-dressed list. One of my all-time favorite Lipa looks has to be this blinding Versace gown from the 2021 GRAMMYs, the focal point of which was the embellished butterfly on her chest. Perfection!

I swear Mugler can do no wrong! This bedazzled gown at the 2020 Global Awards in London might not be colorful, but it is by no means safe. I mean, just look at that slit up to her hip!

At the American Music Awards in 2019, Lipa rocked this hot pink satin Miu Miu gown that came complete with a massive black velvet bow at her hip. Major punk princess prom queen vibes, which I adore.
