Rihanna Used This Bold Statement Coat To Cover Up Her Baby Bump

Ladies and gentlemen! After a somewhat traumatizing first month, 2022 is finally ready to give us something good. ICYMI, Rihanna is pregnant—she and A$AP Rocky are going to be parents! The couple made the announcement by way of some paparazzi photos that featured them out and about in New York City, with Ri’s bump on full display. And as a fashion editor, I’ve got to be honest—the only thing more exciting to me than Rihanna having a baby is Rihanna’s pregnancy style. I just know it’s going to be incredible.

And we already have a few strong examples! In their ~announcement~ photos, Ri paired low-rise, light wash jeans with rips at the knees with a vintage Chanel hot pink quilted midi coat, leaving just the top button fastened so that her baby belly could peak out. She accessorized with a chain belt and lots of jewelry, and even though the jeans were way too long for NYC’s currently-slushy streets, it was a damn good look.

But before we knew there was a baby on board, RiRi was slaying her pregnancy wardrobe in secret—a good coat covers up so much! On January 26, the singer and fashion mogul was spotted at the Flight Club sneaker store in NYC serving major traffic cone elegance. And stopping traffic at the same time, I’m sure!

Ri layered a bright orange hoodie underneath an oversized orange shearling coat, and threw on a pair of camouflage pants for contrast. As a glam finishing touch, she opted for the Gucci x Balenciaga Knife heels. Iconic, no? And to think, this was just days before her showing off her bump in its full glory! I would’ve never, ever guessed she was expecting—how unexpected, pun very much intended.

We don’t know when her due date is, but she looks pretty far along, so I’m willing to say she was definitely pregnant in December. Which means this sexy bomber jacket look also counts as part of her pregnancy wardrobe!

The Mega Agency.

The Miu Miu bomber is a statement all on its own, but Ri accessorized with Miu Miu gloves, Balenciaga Knife boots and Loewe sunnies that give major Willy Wonka vibes. Again, in a good way. IDK how anyone but Rihanna pulls these off. Regardless, the bomber’s oversized, slightly rounded silhouette was perfect for hiding any hint of a pregnant belly.

Bottom line? Our queen is having a baby, so expect her pregnancy fashion to be nothing short of spectacular. Congrats, Rihanna! We love you, and your relationship with A$AP Rocky, and your future baby, and your pregnancy wardrobe. Finally, some good news this year!

Joe Burrow Fashion: The Most Stylish Ohioan Alive Is Headed to The Super Bowl

Ohio is famous for many incredible things. Among them: Skyline Chili (I humbly refuse to listen to any negative thing said about this bolognese-adjacent delicacy), fields of six-foot tall cement corn art (shoutout my hometown) and its football teams (you might have heard of THE Ohio State University). One other thing you should know and recognize about the state you shouldn’t flyover, though, is that it breeds fashion icons. LeBron James. Kid Cudi. Sarah Jessica Parker. The list goes on. But a new Ohioan is taking the title as most fashionable and his name is Joe Shiesty.

If you haven’t heard of him before, allow me to briefly introduce you to your new crush and/ or hero. His last name on the birth records is actually Burrow, and he’s the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. Now, I’m not here to talk about football. Though, as an Ohioan, I must let you know that I shed a tear watching the team beat Chiefs last night, clinching their spot in the Super Bowl airing Feb. 13. I’m actually here to talk about his post- and pre-game style because that sh*t is icy.

Mr. Brrrrrrow has repeatedly made headlines this year for his lewks, which wholeheartedly deserve to be spelled as such.

Ohio’s Most Beloved is proving that the most fashionable men in sports don’t all play basketball by showing up to press conferences in tiny translucent sunglasses and giving us J. Lo early 2000s music video energy without a warning?? It was such a moment that reporters paused in asking sports questions and inquired about the sunnies. Mr. Burrow’s response?

“No significance. I just think they’re pretty cool.”

Yes, literal king!!! Slay!!!

This wasn’t his first time dipping his feet in the retro glasses water, though. He knew we were hungry pre-Thanksgiving in November and served us a similar look, too.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, though.

He’s worn bold sweat sets better than any off-duty model getting off of planes…

Put the ‘holla’ in holidays in December…

And he’s shown people everywhere just how sleek a plain well-fitted button-up can look.

However, he saved his best ensemble for the AFC championship. The look he put on was a sight to behold. The black turtleneck, diamond necklace and graphic jacket taught us all a few things in fashion: gold and diamonds are always worth wearing, a black turtleneck is the perfect supporting piece and a jacket can and should be the focal point of a winter ‘fit.

Get you a quarterback who wears Cartier glasses and a championship title will soon follow.

Oh, and his fashion isn’t always just for good looks. Everyone from the midwest knows that Burrow is all about giving back to where he grew up, Athens County, where 20 percent of the population suffers from food insecurity. He’s auctioned off specially designed kicks to raise money for the county’s food pantry, and his constant support and partnership with the pantry has raised more than $650,000 and helped feed nearly 13,000 people. He’s such a big deal to this food pantry that they credit him for consistent donations across the board.

Being from Ohio usually comes with a few connotations that are less-than positive. People think of the state as a dumpy land filled with chain restaurants and simple-minded people. It’s an easy place to make fun of, maybe because Ohioans have those midwestern manners that prevent them from popping judgmental people in the face. I think part of it is because it’s predominantly known thanks to its role in elections and in pop culture. So, if people have to think of a state that’s not their own to dunk on, it might be top of mind.

I get it. This is why having somebody from the state make waves for his style and class is a pretty big deal. Burrow’s style is a visual representation of how people who grew up in poverty-stricken towns that are often ignored by the government, the media and general cultural discourse can become icons in any realm they want—fashion, sports, etc.—if they’re given the chance.

There’s such a deep-rooted love and dimensionality within Ohioans that makes them unlike anybody else. Any time I meet somebody from the state, no matter the circumstance, they welcome me like I’m family. There’s a bond between us that isn’t replicable. It’s not even spoken of, it’s just something that’s inherently there. That kindness and acceptance and recognition.

And yeah, there are a lot of chain restaurants there. Chili’s is delicious. But me and all of the other natives like Burrow know what lives past strip malls. Ohio is filled with hard-working people who aren’t given success or titles. We aren’t given special priority because of who we know or where we come from. We aren’t handed jobs or admissions or praise. We earn these things. Even when we’re the underdogs.

These Next-Level Collagen Superdrink Mixes Are My Secret for Glowing Skin, Hair & Nails

If you’re like me, I like my beverages to do double duty. There simply isn’t enough time in the day to get in all the nutrients I need to feel on my A-game, so you’ll find me sipping on mood-boosting adaptogenic lattes and the like all day long. My latest obsession? Zolt’s Collagen Boost plant-powered superfood drink mixes, which not only encourage me to get my daily water intake, but give my hair, skin, and nails a much-needed glow up at the same time.

I’m sure you’ve tried those boring collagen powders that you can add to your coffee or directly in water, but most are way too chalky to get down, and I end up just tossing it (and my hard-earned money) down the drain. Not to mention, most are unflavored, so they’re not exactly enjoyable to drink either. But with Zolt’s next-level collagen drink mixers, you can truly have your collagen and drink it too. And unlike traditional collagen powders, these game-changing ones are made with adaptogens, vitamins and botanicals to help round out your overall wellness routine on the daily.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Zolt is a STYLECASTER sponsor, however, all products in this article were independently selected by our editors. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

zolt collagen mixes

I recently tested out their variety pack, which includes three yummy flavors targeted for different needs: Well for immunity (Meyer Lemon Tea), Dreamy for sleep (Ginger Honey Tea), and Even for everyday balance (Lime Mint). So long, boring Vitamin C powders! These ones come with the added bonus of collagen to keep my nails, hair, and skin strong and healthy thanks to hyaluronic acid and tremella mushroom (vegan collagen).

I like to start my day with Well, which is made with natural caffeine to help jumpstart my morning. Even’s the way to get me over the mid-day slump, and then when it’s time to hit the hay, I enjoy Dreamy to soothe me to sleep (it’s the ultimate way to consume melatonin if you don’t like taking a pill).

Simply mix one mixie pack with 16-ounces of water, and you’ll be on your way to feeling and looking your best in no time. And best of all, the individual packets make it a breeze to stick to my routine wherever I am—even when I’m traveling or running around the city all day. You can buy the variety pack to try them all (I’d recommend this to take them all for a road test) or you can purchase a single box of one flavor for $25.

Now, you won’t wake up with Rapunzel-like locks after drinking these a few times. You’ll need to be consistent with them, and I’d recommend drinking them every day for at least a month until you start to see a difference in your nail or hair strength.

Everyone’s results will vary, so be patient (easier said than done, I know!) and stick to it. Perhaps make it a little challenge and consider it your New Year’s goal in January? Who said resolutions couldn’t be fun?

Here’s What the Date 2/2/22 Means & Why Seeing 222 is a Powerful Sign

February is set to be nothing short of a prolific month! The month kicks off with a New Moon in Aquarius ushering in the energy of new beginnings and change, and just one day later, we get to experience what some are calling the first of the last three 222 days of the century, occurring on February 2, 2022, February 20, 2022 and February 22, 2022. Yep, you read that correctly. This is the end of a 222 sequence that started back in 2000, with other key years of 2002, 2020 and 2022. We won’t see this sequence again until 2/2/2222—but what’s the significance, anyway?

In numerology, the 222 sequence of numbers are often referred to as Angel Numbers. Also, the number 2 in numerology references the energy of duality, partnership, relationship and balance. The key lessons when dealing with the number 2 are generally centered around compromise, acceptance, compassion, cooperation and harmony.

When 2 is in sequence like it is in 222, this energy is super-charged. There is a call to approach life with more compassion, to seek better balance, to work cooperatively with others, to seek partnership when you can and strive for harmony.

When you think about the last almost 22 years, don’t so many of these themes ring true? This is especially profound when you think about 2020! There is no way we could have made it through the last two years without compassion and cooperation. So much of our world has changed, especially the ways in which we interact with others.

What’s more, the United States has it’s very first Pluto Return on 2/20/2022 coinciding with the second 222 day of the month. Since America is a relatively young country, it has never experienced the return of Pluto or the start of a new Pluto cycle. For your reference, when Pluto—the lord of destruction, transformation and power—makes a return (which takes approximately 247 years) that entity (in this case, the US) has an opportunity to let go of archaic systems and structures that no longer benefit the masses, so that every individual associated with that entity gets to maximize the potential of their soul.

If we look to older countries for some insight, it’s very easy to deduce that major power shifts occurred during that time. Pluto Returns in France and Russia marked the deaths of Napoleon and Stalin. Spanish dictator Francisco Franco relinquished power during Spain’s last Pluto Return. Some even argue that the UK’s last Pluto Return coincides with their unofficial fall from world leader status. Historically, this time is marked with a lot of change and most believe that for the US that will be no different.

Fortunately, the good thing about change and transformation is, well, change and transformation. As painful as it might be to see failure, it is incredibly powerful to be able to see potential. This is what makes the 222 days so profound!

222 days serve as a reminder for us to know that, no matter what happens in our world, we are in a time of cooperation, compassion, duality and harmony—if we so choose to embody these qualities. So, hopefully you choose to use the last days of this magical 222 energy like a portal to channel all the love and hope you can. For yourself first, and then for others.

The New Moon in Aquarius On February 1 Calls For Radical Changes

There’s something deeply sobering about the second new moon of the year, the New Moon in Aquarius on February 1. The days around it will bring some unexpected changes that force us to really take stock of what we fear. The good news? Once the dust settles, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue a path that wouldn’t have been available before. This might be the path that brings you closer to your destiny—if you let it.

As we start a new lunar cycle, change feels heavy in the air. The full moon back on January 12 pushed us to understand what makes us feel safe and secure. Now that we have a better idea of what those things are, it is time to put into action any radical changes we need to make. With a New Moon in the sign of Aquarius—the rebel of the zodiac—change is not only imminent, but required.

It is time to step into your uniqueness and dance more wildly to the music of your soul. Uranus will be exasperating this energy as he makes a square to the new moon. This will gift us an opportunity to adjust, one that’s only available if we can maneuver through whatever surprises life throws our way. As we adjust, Saturn will help us find stability, structure and order, and Mercury will present ways of transforming the old anew when he goes direct two days later.

All in all, we must cling to what any new moon requires of us as we approach the New Moon in Aquarius on February 1. It is a time of initiation, new beginnings and planting seeds. Just as ancient farmers sowed their seeds for the next harvest under a new moon, so must we. The time will be ripe for new innovations!

It is time to step into your uniqueness and dance more wildly to the music of your soul.

Will you set intentions aligned with a more authentic version of yourself? Or will you light a candle signifying your acceptance of new energy coming into your life? Perhaps you will create a list of all of the ideas you wish to bring to reality in the next few months. Any of these activities will work to amplify the power of this new moon.

Although all signs will feel the weight of this new moon energy, there are some that might find it a little more testy than others. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, all fixed signs who don’t love change, might find this new moon quite uncomfortable. Just remember that the magic of life lies right beyond your comfort zone! Allow this New Moon in Aquarius to stretch you and show you a higher, brighter, more kick-butt version of yourself.

On the other hand, Aries, Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius, you might experience this new moon as quite pleasant. It’s not to say that adjustments won’t be necessary, but they’ll be more like small annoyances. But, that definitely doesn’t mean you should slack off! There’s still plenty of ways you can grow, so be sure to push yourself.

For everyone else, set those intentions. Use them as your guides as you march to the beat of the drum of your spirit.

Tinashe Uses This Clear Dry Shampoo In Between Wash Days Because It Doesn’t Leave Hair “Dusty or White”

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, STYLECASTER may receive an affiliate commission.

For a multi-hyphenate entertainer, Tinashe’s bonafides are as good as it gets. Among them: five studio albums, collabs with Britney Spears and M.A.C. Cosmetics, and a starring role in a televised revival of Rent. But past her achievements as a singer, dancer, actress, her real superpower is an old-soul awareness that not only keeps her unbothered amid scrutiny as a public figure, but serves as a guiding force in her career, too.

In Tinashe’s world, a body, soul, mind connection is key. Family and nature prevail, and sinking into spirituality is something that’s kept the multi-platinum-certified R&B artist not only grounded among a flurry of tour dates and appearances but lead her to walk away from a major recording contract with her long-time label.

“For me, deciding to become an independent artist was a gut feeling. I knew in my heart that it was the best decision for me to move forward,” she tells STYLECASTER. “Over the course of my career, there have been moments where I needed to remind myself to trust my gut instincts, as they are always the strongest indicator of what path I need to take. Anytime I have strayed from that path, I have paid for it in terms of my authenticity.

Her guiding force in navigating big decisions in her career? Getting quiet and listening to the heart. Ahead, the Eva NYC partner shows us how she steps up good energy and lays down sick edges, all in her quest for self-care. Below, in her own words.

Instagram PhotoSource: Instagram

“Self-care has become more important to me than ever before. I’ve recognized that I am at my best and I create my best work when I nurture my spirit, first and foremost. That can include practicing setting boundaries in romantic relationships or just getting outside. So for me, self-care is doing the things that make me feel the most like myself and usually, that means being on stage, being in nature, or being around my family.

The biggest thing is surrounding myself with people who I love and who have a lot of positive energy. Being in a good emotional, mental and spiritual headspace is the most crucial component to maintaining physical wellbeing. It is definitely hard to eat well or get enough sleep when you’re traveling, so by having a positive environment and people who are conscientious of my needs, I can be the most successful.”

Self Care on Tour

“I love exercising, especially when I’m dancing or performing. Dancing and having fun are both so important to me. Both give me energy, make me happy and help my mental state stay up and positive.

The biggest difference in my self care on the road versus when I’m at home is not necessarily having the time to do the kind of workouts I typically do when I’m not on tour. I usually hike and take Pilates and dance classes from home, and on tour, most of my exercise comes from dancing and the shows themselves.

I get my best workouts on stage because the adrenaline is pumping. I find that I don’t need as much motivation to work out when I get into a schedule or a good routine. It’s hardest to find the motivation to work out when I break my usual flow. If I feel the need to get a little extra exercise in, I take walks or hikes or go exploring outside. I love fresh air so it doesn’t feel as much like a workout.

Finding time to rest is also really important because I’m not able to have my usual sleep schedule when I’m on tour. Honestly touring is really strenuous and I haven’t necessarily mastered self care on the road yet.

Artistic Expression Through Hair Care

“I’ve experimented this past year with braids, partial braids, goddess locs, butterfly locs, cornrows, etc., and I hope to keep experimenting.

There are little tricks I’ve learned along the way: I slick my edges a lot with water and a toothbrush, but when I want to make sure that they stay laid, I usually use a light gel. When styling braids you have to be very careful not to put too much product on them because it will deteriorate the style faster. I use Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo in-between wash days because it doesn’t leave my hair looking dusty or white.

Continuing a Spiritual Journey

“I have been on my own personal spiritual journey since I was a kid, and I’ve continued learning what that means to me more and more as I’ve gotten older. In 2020 when I was creating the 333 album, I was focused a lot on tapping into my spiritual side, as I had a lot more time than usual to focus on my thought patterns, my feelings and my inner dialogue. I decided it was really important to me to incorporate that energy in my new project and in the new music itself.

I’m excited for everyone to hear how I have evolved spiritually and emotionally with this new project. I feel like I am very much in alignment with what I am meant to be doing and I hope that my fans can tell the difference. I’m so lucky to be making my own creative decisions.

For me, deciding to become an independent artist was a gut feeling. I knew in my heart that it was the best decision for me to move forward. Over the course of my career, there have been moments where I needed to remind myself to trust my gut instincts, as they are always the strongest indicator of what path I need to take. Anytime I have strayed from that path, I have paid for it in terms of my authenticity. My advice for others when making decisions is to get quiet and really listen to your heart. It will always show you the way. The key is to note the difference between your instincts and your mind/thoughts.

Building the Body-Mind-Soul Connection

“I think body, mind and soul are all connected. If one of those is out of alignment, then it will throw the other out of alignment. I practice checking in with myself — monitoring my thought patterns and my moods, meditation, reading and finding time for fun and joy in my days. My favorite book to revisit is Letting Go: The Pathway to Surrender by David R. Hawkins, which was given to me by a fan at a meet-and-greet in London.

Books, candles, diffusers, incense, essential oils, sage, palo santo, soft pillow and crystals are some of my favorite self care goodies. Right now, my favorite crystal is amethyst as I am a true and true Aquarius. But my mom just bought me smoky quartz for dispelling negative energy and protection and I have been really gravitating towards it lately.

I also love Diptyque candles. And have an essential oil diffuser that I fill with lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint or lemon oils — that or I’ll burn incense that I get from my local flea market.”

Here’s How to Watch Janet Jackson’s Documentary For Free to See the Queen of Pop’s True Story

Just months after the release of an unauthorized documentary on Hulu, a new Janet Jackson documentary is here—and fans already want to know how to watch Janet Jackson online for free so they don’t miss the latest deep dive on the Queen of Pop.

The documentary, titled Janet Jackson after the singer’s 1992 eponymous debut album, is being released in honor of the record’s 40th anniversary. Airing as a two-night, four-hour special, Janet is set to explore the life and impact of the “Rhythm Nation” singer after over four decades in the spotlight—from the very heights of her success, to the depths of her personal and private tragedies surrounding her brother Michael Jackson’s controversies and her infamous 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. What sets Janet apart from previous documentaries is that this production, which took five years to create, is produced by Jackson herself, along with her brother and former Jackson 5 member, Randy Jackson.

Along with archival footage, never before seen home videos and unfiltered moments from Jackson herself, Janet will feature interviews with many of the singer’s famed friends and colleagues—including the likes of Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot and Samuel L. Jackson. “This is my tale told by me, not through the eyes of someone else,” Jackson said in a teaser for the documentary, making it the first time in history that audiences will be hearing the Queen of Pop’s story in her own words.
